For lasting well-being at home too: try our simple DIY recipe for a natural facial scrub and a gentle mask - for velvety-soft, radiant skin and the feeling of spa relaxation in your own four walls.
Natural DIY facial scrub
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp whole cane sugar - for gentle exfoliation
- ½ tsp lavender - calming, healing and soothing
- 1 tsp water or vegetable oil (e.g. coconut, olive or almond oil)
Application:
Apply the scrub to slightly damp skin and massage in with gentle, circular movements. Then rinse off thoroughly.
Tip:
Replace the sugar with salt for an effective body scrub. However, salt is not suitable for the face as it has a drying effect and can irritate the skin.
Homemade face mask
Ingredients:
- ½ Banana - nourishes and firms the skin. The peel can also be used for acne or redness as it contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory active ingredients such as lutein and carotenoids.
- ½ tsp coffee powder - has an astringent and skin-tightening effect
Application:
Mix the ingredients well and apply the mask to clean, dry skin using gentle, circular movements from the centre of the face outwards. Leave on for about 15 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water and gently pat the skin dry.
