Step-by-step instructions - "Flower folding"
A pestemal - the traditional linen cloth from the hammam - is not only practical but also decorative. In just a few simple steps, you can fold it into an elegant flower that gives your room a special ambience. Whether in the bathroom, bedroom or Spa area at home: the folded flower gives your place of well-being a warm, stylish touch and reminds you of the relaxing atmosphere of an oriental bathing ritual.
Our step-by-step instructions make it easy for you to fold the flower yourself. You can bring a bit of spa feeling into your home with little effort and create a lovely eye-catcher in your personal wellness area at the same time.
Step 1 - Preparation
Lay the pestemal (traditional linen cloth) neatly and smoothly on a flat surface. Make sure that there are no creases in the fabric so that the flower will be even later on.
Step 2 - First fold
Now fold each of the four corners towards the centre to create a smaller square. Press the folds lightly so that the shape remains stable.
Step 3 - Turn over
Carefully take the resulting square in your hands, lift it off the surface and turn it over. Then place it upside down back on the surface. This creates the base for the flower shape.
Step 4 - Second fold
Repeat the process from step 2: Fold all four corners to the centre again. Press the centre gently so that the flower retains its stability.
Step 5 - Mould the flowers
Carefully reach under the folded corners and slowly pull them outwards. With a little patience, the "blossoms" will open and your decorative flower will unfold. If necessary, gently tweak the edges until you like the shape.
