Mystic spa ritual - a journey through warmth, water and silence in the heart of the Engadin mountains
Immerse yourself in an extraordinary world of glazed mosaic tiles, soft light and mineral water from our own spring in the bathing ritual at the Mineralbad Samedan. Like in a Mountain labyrinth, you wander over five floors through various bathing and steam rooms and experience an original ritual full of peace and strength.
The mountain spa - a flooded room up to eight metres high - is a retreat in warm water. A stone path for Foot massage, a mist grotto and a room of silence invite you to completely surrender to the moment. In the Herbal steam bath, the fragrant steam opens your pores before you cleanse your skin with exfoliating gloves and further purify and detoxify your body in the second steam bath at 45 °C.
You will find soothing tranquillity on large warmed stones, while bubbles and Hot baths stimulate your circulation, relax your muscles and joints and give you a sense of lightness. As you bathe in the warm water in the open air, the church tower of Samedan rises up next to you and the impressive mountain scenery opens up before you - a moment of pure magic.
At the end of your ritual, you will find peace and security in the Swiss stone pine parlour or in the larch chamber above the rooftops of Samedan, accompanied by tea and fresh spring water.
Notes:
You do not need a Reservation for your visit to the Mineralbad Samedan. Children between the ages of 1 and 15 can enter the mineral baths until 5 pm if accompanied by an adult. During your stay, tea and fresh spring water are available free of charge.
Wellness dress code:
Please note that swimwear is compulsory. For reasons of hygiene, it is not permitted to wear underwear under swim shorts. Swimming costumes, bikinis, tankinis, burkinis, swimming trunks or swimming shorts that are specially designed for use in the water are considered conventional swimwear. Other items of clothing are not permitted.

The mountain spa
The mountain spa is a flooded room up to 8 metres high where you can retreat into the 35 °C water. Niches provide a sense of security, along with stone paths for Foot massage, a mist grotto and the Room of Silence - perfect for 20-30 minutes.
Herbal steam bath with peeling
One floor up, in the 40 °C Herbal steam bath, the herbal steam opens your pores. After 15 minutes, use exfoliating gloves to rub your body from bottom to top, remove old skin cells and then rinse yourself thoroughly with water from the central fountain.
Hot steam bath and relaxation
In the second steam bath at 45 °C, you further purify and detoxify your body. The heat has a soothing effect before you shower off and rest on the large heated stones for 10-15 minutes - a moment of deep relaxation.
Bubble bath
The 35 °C Bubble bath massages your whole body, loosens muscles and joints and promotes blood circulation. At the same time, your metabolism is stimulated and restful sleep is gently supported - pure relaxation in warm water.
Hot bath
The 40 °C Hot bath stimulates the circulation, dilates the blood vessels and improves the transport of nutrients in the blood. The buoyancy in the water also relieves muscles and joints and gives you deep physical relaxation.
Glacier spa
Bathing under the open sky in warm water, with the mighty church tower next to you and the magnificent mountain scenery in front of you. The rooftop bath is the highlight of your ritual and gives you an extraordinary moment of peace and space.
Recreation
After the bathing ritual, relax in the Arvenstube above the rooftops of Samedan or rest with a view of the mountains in the Lärchenkammer. Enjoy the peace and quiet with tea and fresh spring water and bring the day to a gentle close.
